Close to 90 presentations expected for 2008 conference in Strasbourg

TROY, Mich., June 25th, 2008 – Altair Engineering, Inc., a leading global provider of technology and services that empower client innovation and decision-making, today announced that it has received a record amount of paper proposals for its 2nd European HyperWorks Technology Conference from September 30th until October 1st in Strasbourg, France. Close to 90 leading engineers and engineering managers have submitted their abstracts so far, including keynote presentations from EADS, Nissan, Renault, Scania, Tecosim, and Unilever. Thanks to the overwhelming reception of the conference within the enterprise simulation community more than 450 attendees will be expected in Strasbourg, to gather insights on topics such as structural analysis, optimization, data management and Engineering Intelligence. The technical part of the conference will be completed with the “Meet the Expert” rooms in which attendees will have the opportunity to talk personally with Altair software developers.

“We are encouraged by the positive response to our call for presentations,” said Dr. Michael Hoffmann, Vice President European Operations, Altair Engineering. “We believe that the 30% increase in the numbers of papers has been driven by the very successful 1st conference and the 50% software growth in Europe in 2007. This growth underscores that we are expanding our leading position in the market. We are committed to make this year’s conference even more valuable to all attendees by offering more presentations and by adding “Meet the Experts” to the agenda, a special offer which gives customers and prospects the chance to personally interact with our development staff.”

The conference will kick off on September 29th with three technical workshops and a welcome reception within the exhibition area of the conference. The technical showcase, in which Altair and its partner will exhibit their solutions, will complete the conference. The exhibition, the conference and all off site events during the EHTC will provide attendees, vendors and engineering partners with excellent networking opportunities.

The EHTC is sponsored by Tecosim, SUN, Intel and nCode. Already signed up exhibitors are: Bull, EMSS, Fluidon, Huß&Feickert, IBM, INTES, Magna Powertrain Engineering Center Steyr GmbH & CoKg, Microsoft, Metacomp Technologies, NAFEMS, SGI, sience and computing, and Sogeti.
